Here are the candidates for SBLive's Missouri High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Kiersten Allen, Reeds Spring girls wrestling

She went 7-0 at the Lady Mustangs Christmas Clash in Eldon Saturday and took first place in the 145-pound bracket.

Ethan Altic, Seneca boys basketball

The Indians picked up a 70-53 win over Neosho on Friday with Altic leading the way with 20 points in a battle of Newton County rivals.

Adrianna Benassi, Lee’s Summit girls basketball

In a 54-49 win over Lee’s Summit North on Monday, the senior surpassed the 1,000-point mark in her career.

Colton Brendel, Sullivan boys wrestling

During a triangular on Thursday, he posted wins against Potosi and Owensville and secured career win No. 100.

Preston Brewer, Canton boys basketball

The junior tallied 26 points in a 50-43 win over South Shelby on Dec. 12, helping the Tigers improve to 6-1.

Jobe Bryant, Park Hills Central boys basketball

In an 89-60 win against Festus on Friday, Bryant recorded a double-double with 30 points and 11 assists. Also added seven rebounds.

Rex Bryson, Centralia boys wrestling

Competing at the Battle At The Katy Trail in Sedalia, she went 8-0 to improve to 17-0 on the year. He helped his squad take second in the 48-team field.

Hannah Carter, South Harrison girls basketball

The returning all-state honoree grabbed the 1,000th rebound of her career in a game against Maysville on Tuesday.

Collin Clark, Greenwood boys basketball

In a contest against Plattsburg, he had 30 points and 11 rebounds to win MVP honors in the Queen City Showcase event. He also surpassed 1,000 career points in the win.

Zyree Collins, St. Mary’s boys basketball

The junior guard scored a game-35 points to help the Dragons rally for a 74-72 win in overtime on Friday.

Kole Deck, Jackson boys basketball

The 6-foot-6 forward scored a career-high 31 points in a 65-55 loss to Vianney on Friday.

Calyese Dupree, Nixa girls wrestling

The Lady Eagles took first place at the KC Stampede this weekend in Kansas City. Dupree won the 155-pound bracket with five wins — all by pins.

Trisiah Edwards, Ladue boys basketball

The junior guard hit four free throws late to help ice a 56-50 win over University City on Friday. Ladue improved to 6-0 with the win, the best start in the past 25 years

Travis Green III, Hazelwood Central boys basketball

During a 54-44 win over University City on Dec. 12, he had 16 points and 11 rebounds. The day before, he dropped 28 points in a 52-40 win over Eureka.

Kennedy Herrig, Liberty North girls basketball

Playing at the Hoosier Gym in Indiana, she had 28 points to help the Lady Eagles beat Park Hill, 74-46.

Caden Hulett, Platte County boys wrestling

The senior recorded career win No. 100 at the KC Stampede on Friday for the Pirates.

Candra King, Palmyra girls basketball

The Iowa State track and field signee surpassed the 1,000-point mark in her career on the court in a game on Dec. 12

Nevaeh Lucious, Cape Notre Dame girls basketball

The 6-2 sophomore had 14 points in a 62-15 win against Chaffee on Monday and added 23 points and 11 rebounds in a 68-38 win over Poplar Bluff on Thursday.

Delaney McGhay, Eldon girls basketball

She tallied double-digit points in two games this week for the Lady Mustangs. She had 21 in a 69-51 win over Southern Boone County and 25 in a 70-64 win over Camdenton.

Brandon Moore, Kansas City Central boys basketball

The Blue Eagles improved to 5-1 on the year win a 90-37 win over Kansas City East on Dec. 12. Moore had 25 points, six rebounds, six steals and five assists.

Labaron Philon, Link Academy boys basketball

The future Kansas Jayhawk had 20 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals in a 71-69 win over Dynamic Prep on Friday.

Iziah Purvey, Webster Groves boys basketball

The junior became the 18th member of the 1,000-point club since 1985 on Tuesday against Quincy, Illinois. He is the sixth to have at least 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.

Alexis Shelton, Laquey girls basketball

The Hornets standout reached the 1,000-point mark in a game against Crane on Saturday at the Queen City Showcase in Springfield.

Jacob Stellwagen, Montgomery County boys basketball

The senior guard drained eight 3-pointers and had a game-high 27 points in a 70-50 win over SLUH at the Midwest Showdown on Saturday in St. Louis.

Madyson Thomas, Northwest Cedar Hill girls wrestling

She posted a 3-0 mark and extended her season record to 14-0 with a first-place showing at the Cape Central Girls Tiger Classic on Saturday.

Luke Walsh, Vianney boys basketball

The junior set a new school record for points in a game with 48 in a 65-55 victory against Jackson on Friday.

Owen Walther, John Burroughs boys basketball

The MVP honors in a game against Father Tolton Catholic went to Walther after he hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 23 points in a 70-62 win on Saturday at the Midwest Showdown Shootout in St. Louis.

Ari Warren, Glendale girls basketball

The freshman tallied a game-high 24 points in the Falcons’ 87-34 win over Neosho on Thursday.

Peyton Westpfahl, Liberty boys wrestling

The Blue Jays took first place in the KC Stampede this weekend and Westpfahl was one of the champions. He won the 175-pound bracket and had six wins — all by pins.

Tyson Williams, Cape Central boys basketball

He tallied a game-high 23 points in a 65-45 victory over Farmington on Friday.

Amare Witham, Glendale boys basketball

The 6-2 sophomore guard had a game-high 32 points in a 73-66 win over McDonald County in the third-place game at the Mustang Classic.

Christian Woods, Zalma boys basketball

In a 53-52 win on Monday against Eagle Ridge Christian, the freshman hit two free throws to seal a win with 4.4 seconds left. He finished with 13 points, helping the Bulldogs snap a seven-game losing skid.

Isaac Woodward, Fort Osage boys basketball

During a 57-47 win over Smithville on Tuesday, the junior set a single-game school record with six blocked shots.

Cody Yates, Kingston boys basketball

The senior scored 28 points in a 77-27 win over Herculaneum on Tuesday and followed that up with 41 points in an 84-50 win over Grandview Hillsboro on Thursday.
