Here are the candidates for SBLive's Missouri High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Connor Adams, Cape Notre Dame boys soccer
The junior had a brace in the Bulldogs’ 4-1 win over Jackson and that snapped the Indians' 11-game winning streak on Wednesday.
Rylee Allred, Ash Grove girls golf
After shooting 88 on day 1 in the Class 1 finals, she shot 77 on day 2 and forged a tie for first place in the state championship.
Waylon Anders, Hannibal football
Anders, a junior, completed 11 of 15 passes for 179 yards and three touchdowns and added 51 yards and two scores rushing in the Pirates' 42-7 victory against Battle.
Tyler Bax, Blair Oaks football
Bax accounted for five touchdowns as he led the Falcons to the Tri-County Conference title with a 62-28 win over Southern Boone County.
Page Bowman, Glendale girls golf
After taking third last year, she won a share of the Class 4 title on Tuesday with a 4-over 148. She became the third Falcon golfer to claim a state title in the sport.
Jobe Bryant, Park Hills Central football
He did a little of everything in the Rebels’ 47-21 win over Farmington on Thursday. He had five catches for 68 yards, 14 carries for 175 yards and three touchdowns and also threw a 29-yard touchdown.
Emree Cameron, Nevada girls golf
Last year’s Class 2 runner-up, fired a 10-under 134 to win the Class 3 championship on Tuesday at Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington.
Jack Cheaney, Nevada football
He became the latest player to run for a 99-yard touchdown, which would make him 17th in MSHSAA history to do so. He finished with 283 yards on 16 carries and three touchdowns in a 40-36 loss to Seneca.
Kayla Gallagher, Grain Valley girls volleyball
The junior broke the school record for most kills in a season in a district win against Fort Osage and has 285 on the season.
Grant Gibson, Rockwood Summit football
Gibson, a senior, accounted for seven total touchdowns in a 59-20 win at Parkway West as the Falcons finished the regular season undefeated. He completed 18 of 25 passes for 324 yards and six touchdowns (with one interception) and ran for 22 yards and another score.
Owen Hartline, Tolton boys cross country
The senior took second place at the Bowling Green Invitational on Oct. 20 and his time of 16:32.23 set a new school record for the Trailblazers. Tolton won the team title as well.
Dakarri Hollis, Lutheran North football
Hollis tossed four touchdown passes in the Crusaders' 44-12 win at St. Mary's on Friday night. The junior has now accounted for 30 touchdowns in eight games, with 22 passing and eight rushing.
Emma Hultz, Canton softball
The Tigers advanced to the Class 1 District 5 tournament finals thanks to Hultz hitting a double, a home run and driving in four runs in a 10-1 win over Paris on Monday.
Macie Hunolt, Troy Buchanan softball
She struck out 10 to help the Trojans beat Francis Howell North on Saturday in the Class 5 playoffs and earn a trip to the final four.
Naveah Johnson, Cassville softball
The sophomore contributed the walkout RBI hit to give the Wildcats a 7-6 win over Doniphan in the Class 3 District 6 title game on Monday. It marked the first-ever district crown for the school in softball.
Bakary Kante, Rockhurst boys soccer
Kante had a goal and two assists in a 6-0 win over Blue Springs South on Monday and then added a goal and assist in games against St. James Academy and Carthage later in the week.
Emalee Langford, Platte Valley softball/girls cross country
On Tuesday, she was fourth overall at the 275 Conference championship and later that night went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the softball team in a win over Albany in Class 1 District 8 play.
Riley Linville, Fort Zumwalt West girls cross country
The senior picked up her second win in three October races by taking first at the Clayton Invitational on Friday, running 19:53.60. The Jaguars finished first in the team standings too.
Mauricio Lopez, William Chrisman boys soccer
The junior scored the Bears’ lone goal in regulation on Monday and then had the final penalty kick shot in a 5-4 win over Grain Valley.
Hanna Maschhoff, School of the Osage girls golf
She picked up the Class 2 championship by a one-shot margin over Savannah Thessing of New Covenant on Tuesday as the finals wrapped up at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club in Joplin. The Indians won the team title by 38 shots.
Braxton McBride, Carthage boys swimming
He won the 50-and 100-yard freestyle races and was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay for the Tigers — which claimed the Central Ozark Conference championship on Tuesday.
Antwon McKay Jr., Cardinal Ritter football
A Western Illinois commit, McKay ran a touchdown and threw three touchdown passes to three different receivers – Elijah Abdullah, Dejerrian Miller and De’Shaun Stevenson – in a 52-39 win at St. Louis University High.
Jackson Miller, St. Louis University High boys cross country
With three top-10 finishes to his resume, the freshman got his first varsity win by running 16:05.20 at the Big River PR Invitational on Saturday in Valley Park.
Trenton Mitchell, Clayton football
Mitchell scored four touchdowns as the Greyhounds wrapped up the regular season with a 45-8 win over Affton on Friday. He ran for three touchdowns on five carries and caught a 30-yard touchdown pass.
Chase Moellering, South Shelby football
The sophomore quarterback ran for 133 yards and two scores and passed for 112 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Cardinals beat Palmyra 55-0 and wrap up the school’s first undefeated regular season since 2000.
Alyssa Nelson, Lafayette (Wildwood) girls volleyball
The Villanova pledge broke the career assist record at 2,834, besting the mark previously held by Jenny (Off) Thomas during a game on Oct. 19.
Tyler New, Worth County football
In a convincing 94-6 win over Princeton on Friday, the senior had two touchdown runs and added touchdown passes of 40, 66 and 25 yards. He added a 2-point conversion run and pass as well.
Ali Perry, St. Joseph Central girls golf
Fired 74s on both days of the Class 4 championship and shared the state title with Glendale’s Page Bowman. She becomes the first boy or girl golfer in school history to win a title, the 6th overall champion in the city’s history and the first girl in the city to claim that honor.
Sierra Persinger, Liberty softball
After moving into no. 1 all-time in school history in career home runs, she broke the school’s single-season record on Tuesday.
Marney Plunkett, Palmyra softball
The Tigers had their highest-scoring game of the year in a 24-10 win over Wright City in the Class 3 District 3 semifinal game on Monday. The freshmen went 4-for-5 with 5 RBI in the win.
Quin Renfro, Joplin football
The South Dakota State pledge had another big night, running 33 times for 334 yards and five touchdowns — for the second week in a row — in a 56-24 win over Neosho on Friday.
Preston Schlichting, Cape Central boys soccer
The Tigers dominated Fredericton 8-0 on Wednesday and Schlichting matched his career high with five goals in the game. He accomplished the feat last year against North County.
Jamarion Smith, Portageville football
The senior ran for 432 yards and scored six touchdowns in a win over New Madrid County Central on Thursday. Smith had touchdown runs of 63, 18, 3, 22, 39 and 93 yards.
Whitney Snow, La Plata softball
In the Class 1 District 5 semifinal game on Monday, she struck out 18 against her former school — North Shelby and won 4-2. On Saturday, she struck out 12 to beat Braymer to send the Lady Dogs to the final four.
Carson Spies, Chaffee football
The Red Devils' QB ran for 171 yards and five touchdowns in a 41-6 win over Grandview (Hillsboro).
Elijah Stevens, Rockwood Summit football
Stevens rushed for 126 yards in the Falcons' 59-20 win at Parkway West and, in the process, broke the school's career rushing record. The senior running back also caught a 16-yard touchdown pass in the blowout win.
Addie Swan, Raymore-Peculiar girls golf
Taking part in the Class 4 finals on Monday, she hit a hole-in-one on the par-3 No. 11 hole at Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar. She finished tied for 23rd.
Ava Wheeler, Platte County girls volleyball
In a pair of Class 4 District 8 games, the senior had 39 assists and 13 service points in a win against Smithville and then 19 service points and 27 assists against Kansas City East.
Ty Williams, Grain Valley football
The Eagles closed out the regular season with six wins in a row with a 42-6 triumph over Raytown on Friday. Williams ran 13 times for 220 yards and scored four times.
Kameryn Wood, Liberty Mountain View girls golf
She fired a two-day score of 165 and tied for first place in the Class 1 finals held at the Sedalia Country Club, wrapping up on Tuesday.
