Aych's four-touchdown performance received more than 2,800 votes from football fans from across the Magnolia State

Congratulations to South Pike Eagles' tailback TeDarius Aych for winning the fan vote to become SB Live Mississippi’s Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 28-Sept. 3!

The Eagles’ senior rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries in the Eagles’ 52-28 win over Crystal Springs.

His impressive performance garnered more than 2,850 votes, or roughly 81.5 percent of all the votes from fans across the Magnolia State, beating out Pascagoula quarterback Silas Corder (17.4 percent).

Kahnen Daniels, RB, West Point

Rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns on just 23 carries in a 39-28 loss to No. 2 Starkville.

Marcus Flowers, RB, Charleston

Rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries in the Tigers’ 50-22 win over North Panola.

Gavin Griffin, RB, Velma Jackson

Rushed for 228 yards and four touchdowns on just 19 carries in the Falcons’ 35-6 win over Yazoo County.

Omari Johnson, WR/DB, Wesson

Finished with 166 yards of total offense and two rushing touchdowns and a 75-yard interception return in the Cobras’ 48-15 win over Loyd Star.

Adarious McDougle, QB, Sebastopol

Rushed for 291 yards and three touchdowns on just 18 carries in a 29-22 win over the Lake Hornets.

Bennette Payton, LB, Noxubee County

Was credited with 11 tackles — including three for a loss — three sacks and forced a fumble in the Tigers’ 28-16 win over Columbus.

Drew Winfun, QB, North Pontotoc

Accounted for 361 total yards and seven touchdowns, completing 5 of 8 passes for 125 yards and rushing for 236 yards in a 55-33 win over Water Valley.
