Score updates from the first round of Minnesota high school girls hockey state tournament

The No. 4-seed Warroad Warriors (19-8) play No. 5-seed Proctor/Hermantown (18-8-2) in the 2024 Class 1A MSHSL girls hockey quarterfinals at Xcel Energy Center.

FINAL: Warroad 2, Proctor/Hermantown 1

Taylor Reese scored the game-winning goal in overtime. 

Proctor/Hermantown tied the game with 40 seconds remaining in the game on a power play after Reese was called for body checking.

Sophie Johnson scored the goal for Warroad in the first period.

The Warriors had 32 shots on goal to Proctor/Hermantown's 27 in the game. 

The Warriors will play No. 1-seed Academy of Holy Angels in the semifinals on Friday at 1 p.m.

END OF SECOND PERIOD: Warroad 1, Proctor/Hermantown 0. Shots on goal a 22-16 advantage for Proctor/Hermantown in the game. 

Holding penalty on Warroad's Reagan Haley only lasts a few seconds. Proctor/Hermantown's Katie Sandelin called for slashing shortly after. Five minutes remain in the period.
