CFP National Championship: Michigan high school grads who are on Michigan, Washington rosters

Here's a look at where Michigan and Washington's rosters played high school football from the Great Lakes State

The Michigan Wolverines and Washington Huskies are the last two teams standing in college football, and they'll play on Monday for the National Championship.

Both semifinals were thrillers, with Michigan beating Alabama 27-20 in overtime and Washington withstanding Texas' late push to win 37-31.

SBLive Sports is always looking for interesting high school angles, so leading up to the National Championship tonight in Houston, we decided to look up where every Michigan and Washington player competed in prep football.

Here are the Michigan high school football alumni in the College Football National Championship. Thirty-six players from Michigan are on the rosters, with 34 on Michigan and two on Washington.

California leads all states with 49 players, and Washington is second with 41.

West Bloomfield leads Michigan high schools with four players in the game. Junior running back Donovan Edwards is a key part of a powerful Wolverines rushing attack. Freshman wide receiver Semaj Morgan has made an immediate impact with 260 return yards this season.

Washington has two players from Fordson High School on its roster.

Semaj Morgan (2) is one of four West Bloomfield alumni playing for Michigan.

West Bloomfield's Semaj Morgan defends a pass against Adams in 2022. Morgan has featured for the Michigan Wolverines on special teams and as a wide receiver.
