Michigan high school football: 5 games you shouldn't have missed (10/20/2023)

Two top-5 matchups make up the top games of the week

The regular season of Michigan high school football is coming to a close, so here are five games you shouldn't have missed in the final week.

Here are five games you shouldn't have missed:

No. 1 Belleville (8-0) vs. No. 8 Northville (8-0)

Neither team has faced a tough schedule. Belleville is 1-0 against top-100 opponents, and Northville have yet to face one. Nonetheless, the KLAA Championship is on the line, and Belleville would like to continue its winning streak.

No. 5 Lake Orion (8-0) vs. No. 6 Saline (8-0)

This is a borderline top-5 matchup between two undefeated teams. Saline has yet to face someone in the top-100, but 4-star and Notre Dame commit CJ Carr is talented enough to carry the Hornets to victory.

This season, Lake Orion has dismantled all but No. 9 West Bloomfield (6-2), who the Dragons defeated 17-13.

Gladwin (7-1) vs. Frankenmuth (7-1)

A top-10 matchup in Division 5, these two teams also met in the Division 5 title game last year. Frankenmuth has won seven games in a row and would like head into the playoffs with a win over the defending champs.

East Kentwood (3-5) vs. West Ottawa (3-5)

The Falcons and the Panthers are both on the playoff bubble, and the loser has a significant chance at missing the playoffs.

Clinton (7-1) vs. Hudson (7-1)

Clinton is a top team in Division 7, and Hudson is a top team in Division 8. Hudson recently fell to Dundee, so they'll be looking to bounce back before the playoffs.
