Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Massachusetts High School Athlete of the Week for Feb. 21-27 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Monday, Mar. 7. Jack Burke, BC High Boys Hockey: Burke recorded 32 saves in a 3-2 overtime loss in the Ferreira Classic.

Jimmy Tolton, Scituate Boys Basketball: Tolton provided a much-needed contribution off the bench with scoring 10 points in a 59-36 win over Patriot League rival Pembroke.

Jenn Buche, Oliver Ames Girls Swimming: Buche doubled medaled in the 100m butterfly (6th place) and in the 100 backstroke (4th place) at the state championship meet.

Quinn Borchers, Oliver Ames Boys Swimming: Borchers took 2nd place at the Division 2 state meet and updated his own school record with a time of 52.34 in the 100 yard backstroke, and broke another school record with a time of 1:46.63 in the 200 yard freestyle. 

Caroline Doherty, Hingham Girls Hockey: Doherty scored two goals in a 4-0 win over Reading in the final game of the regular season.

Dennis Cha, Arlington Boys Wrestling: Cha won the individual state title at 195 pounds-making him the second student in the history of the school to win all states.

Ellie McConville, Milton Girls Hockey: McConville scored two goals in a 3-3 tie against Ursuline.

Ali Barry, St. Mary's Boys Basketball: Barry dropped 30 points and was named Tournament MVP in the Spartans' 82-61 Spartan Classic win over Lincoln-Sudbury.

Elise Carter, Archbishop Williams Girls Basketball: Carter had a game-high 17 points, including five 3-pointers in a loss against Braintree.

Orlagh Gormley, North Quincy Girls Basketball: Gormley scored 26 points in a 53-52 win over Duxbury in the regular-season finale. With the victory, North Quincy ends the regular season 22-0, and undefeated in the Patriot League-the first time in school history.
