Here are the candidates for SBLive Sports Maryland High School Football Player of the Week for Aug. 31-Sept. 2 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive's staff. Read through our notes on each nominee and then cast your vote in out poll.

Voting will conclude on Sunday, September 10th and the winner will be announced in next week's poll. If you would like to nominate and athlete, please email the name and a brief description of his performance, with stats if available, to gary@scorebooklive.com.

Here are this week's nominations:

Darius Burley, North County: The junior threw for 300 yards and accounted for 4 touchdowns (3 passing) in the Knights’ 48-8 victory over Lansdowne.

Jabril Daniels, Fort Hill: The junior had 156 total yards (94 rushing, 62 receiving) in the Sentinels’ victory over Northern-Garrett.

Harold Davis, North Harford: The senior returned a kickoff return 93 yards and added a 64-yard touchdown catch in the Hawks’ 34-14 victory over Perryville.

Jamaal Epps, St. Mary’s: The sophomore rushed for 124 yards and 25 carries and scored 2 touchdowns in the Saints’ 24-16 loss to Bullis.

Lance Ford, South Hagerstown: The senior quarterback threw 4 touchdown passes in South Hagerstown’s 48-14 win over Century.

Anthony Gibson, Franklin: The junior caught 5 passes for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns in Franklin’s 48-42 loss to Westminster.

Eli Harris, Broadneck: The senior wide receiver who will attend the Naval Academy, had four catches for 141 yards and a touchdown in a 21-14 loss to McDonogh.

Kamryn Henry, Meade: The senior had 113 yards and a touchdown in Meade’s 46-25 season opening victory over Severna Park.

Max Jones, Old Mill: The senior running back went for 321 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Patriots topped Annapolis, 34-12.

Tyrique Jones, Meade: Jones caught 3 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown, helping Meade to victory over Severna Park.

Luke Kercheval, North Hagerstown: The senior went 11-of-14 for 190 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Hubs’ 38-27 decision over Tuscarora.

Collin Lewis, Chesapeake-Anne Arundel: The senior running back had 156 yards on 22 carries, including a 60-yard touchdown run as the Cougars defeated South Carroll, 34-7.

Zahire Mike, Meade: The senior running back finished with 162 yards on 14 carries and scored 3 touchdowns as the Mustangs routed Severna Park, 46-25.

Braeden Palazzo, McDonogh: The sophomore quarterback completed 22-of-34 for 237 yards and added a passing and rushing score as the Eagles defeated Broadneck, 21-14.

Jamaal Pearl, Harford Tech: The junior running back finished with 158 yards on 21 carries and scored two touchdowns in the Cobras’ 31-0 victory over Aberdeen.

Devin Rollins, Franklin: The senior running back had 14 carries for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Indians fell to Westminster.

Isaiah Sprinkle, Westminster: The junior had a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown as the Owls rallied from a 21-point first half deficit to defeat Franklin.

Kyrece Walker, Westminster: The senior quarterback threw for 103 yards and two touchdowns and added 175 rushing yards and three scores as the Owls defeated Franklin, 48-42.

Cooper Welsh, Archbishop Spalding: The senior converted a 30-yard field goal with seconds remaining in regulation lifting the Cavaliers to a 32-31 come-from-behind victory over Concordia Prep.
