Parkway defeats Denham Springs: Live updates, score of Louisiana (LHSAA) girls basketball Division I non-select state championship (3/2/2024)
HAMMOND, LOUISIANA - Two days after one of the most unbelievable endings to a game, Parkway now has to finish the job.
Parkway will be going for a second straight Division I non-select state championship as the Lady Panthers take on Denham Springs Saturday night at the University Center.
The Lady Panthers are coming off a dramatic 64-63 win in overtime against No. 1 seed and previously undefeated Walker. They rallied from a 15-point deficit entering the fourth quarter to force overtime; then pulled off the win when senior Chloe Larry's 3-pointer from beyond half-court hit nothing but net.
Denham Springs, meanwhile, had a bit easier time in Thursday's other semifinal, as the Lady Jackets posted a seven-point win against Mandeville.
