Cecilia senior Corey Broussard voted SBLive's Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week

Broussard has big night carrying the football to send his team to title game

Corey Broussard literally carried his team to the state championship game. 

Broussard, a senior tailback at Cecilia, rushed for 186 yards on 11 carries with four touchdowns and caught a 47-yard pass to set up another score in the second-seeded Bulldogs' 55-18 win against Northwest in the Division II non-select semifinals.

The win sent Cecilia to the Division II non-select title game in New Orleans, although the Bulldogs eventually lost to Opelousas. 

For his efforts, Broussard was voted the SBLive Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 27-Dec. 3.
