Lafayette Christian senior Ju'Juan Johnson voted SBLive's Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week

Johnson accounts for 6 total TDs while setting state record in quarterfinal win

On Nov. 24, Ju'Juan Johnson put together a record-setting performance.

Johnson, a senior quarterback at Lafayette Christian Academy and an LSU commit as a defensive back, led the third-seeded Knights to a 57-21 win against No. 11 McDonogh 35 in the Divsion II select quarterfinals, throwing for 165 yards and three TDs and rushing for 149 yards and three TDs on 14 carries.

In that game, he became the state's career leader in total yardage with a 3-yard run in the second half.

This week, Johnson will get a chance to win a state title as LCA takes on St. Thomas More in New Orleans for the Division II select championship.

For his efforts, Johnson was voted the SBLive Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 20-26.
