National Signing Day 2024: A complete list of Iowa high school football signees
In late December, many of the top high school football players in Iowa signed on the dotted line during the early signing day for college football.
However, others opted to wait out their choices and commit during the official National Signing Day, which took place Wednesday.
Below is a list of Iowa FBS, FCS and a select other players who signed. If we missed anyone, please email nate@scorebooklive.com.
WR - Curtis Horras, West Des Moines Dowling
Horras was one of the leading receivers for the Maroons this past fall, catching 32 passes for 390 yards with three touchdowns. He formed a talented duo with Hank Brown, who also found his next home.
WR - Hank Brown, West Des Moines Dowling
Brown was the leading receiver for the Maroons, coming in just ahead of Curtis Horras with 36 receptions for 344 yards. He had two touchdowns on the year.
WR - Jackson Naeve, Iowa City Regina
Naeve helped the Regals to much success, catching a team-high 41 balls for 848 yards with 11 touchdowns. He averaged almost 21 yards per reception and also ran for 344 yards and eight more scores while picking off five passes on defense and returning three punts and kickoffs for TDs.
RB - Jaxon Cherry, Webster City
One of the top two-way players in the state the past two seasons, Cherry finished his senior year with almost 1,900 yards rushing and 26 touchdowns while recording 80 tackles with 22 for loss and seven sacks. He became the all-time leading rusher in school history as well.
RB - CJ Phillip, Southeast Polk
After starting out at Dowling, Phillip transferred to Southeast Polk and helped the Rams claim another Class 5A state title this past fall. He rushed for 1,089 yards and 20 touchdowns, adding another 57 yards on 11 receptions.
LB - Draven Woods, Southeast Polk
Joining Phillip at Iowa Central will be his Ram teammate, Draven Woods. The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder recorded 63 tackles with 25 for loss and four sacks.
OL - Logan Nemmers, Bishop Garrigan
After leading the Golden Bears to the eight-player state championship this past fall, Nemmers will take his incredible size to Wayne State. The Garrigan offense ran for almost 3,000 yards behind Nemmers.
WR - Hudson Miller, Des Moines Roosevelt
Miller brings good size to the Bulldogs, checking in at 6-foot-3 while weighing 210 pounds. He caught 35 passes for almost 500 yards and six touchdowns this past fall.
