Algona (Iowa) QB Alex Manske commits to Iowa State

Manske chose the Cyclones over Texas A&M

Algona (Iowa) high school junior quarterback Alex Mankse announced his commitment to Iowa State on Thursday night via social media.

Manske whittled a list of several suitors down to the Cyclones and Texas A&M. Iowa, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska and Pittsburgh also offered the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder.

Manske is ranked the No. 3 prospect in the 2025 class in Iowa and the No. 34 QB in the country. He is also listed as a three-star prospect by 247Sports.

Manske, who is also a star basketball player for the Bulldogs, had several ISU staff members and A&M offensive coordinator Colin Klein at his basketball game against Clear Lake on Tuesday night.

Manske passed for 1,787 yards and 29 touchdowns with just three interceptions last season. He added 701 rushing yards.

Manske will be the third Iowan in the Cyclones QB room. J.J. Kohl, of Ankeny, was a backup last season, and Southeast Polk's Connor Moberly completed his senior season and signed with ISU in December.
