Algona Bishop Garrigan senior running back Caden Roethler voted SBLive’s Iowa high school athlete of the week (11/7/2023)

Roethler totaled close to 70 percent of the vote

Algona Bishop Garrigan senior running back Caden Roethler was voted SBLive’s Iowa High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 23-29. 

Roethler totaled 1,025 votes (68.7%). Mid-Prairie Wellman cross country runner Emmett Swartzentruber was second with 435 votes (29.16%).

Roethler ran for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the Golden Bears’ scintillating 21-18 victory over Remsen St. Mary’s in an 8-player Catholic school battle.
