Grundy Center boys basketball player Jalen Kirkpatrick voted SBLive Iowa high school athlete of the week (Jan. 23-29)

Kirkpatrick totaled more than 12,000 votes

Grundy Center sophomore boys basketball player Jalen Kirkpatrick was voted SBLive Iowa High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 23-29. 

Kirkpatrick racked up 12,132 votes (57.7%). Decorah boys basketball player Bryar Duwe was second with 7,377 votes (35.09%). 

Kirkpatrick charted a double-double for the Spartans as they edged Wapsie Valley 68-66. Kirkpatrick led the way with 25 points and 12 rebounds.
