Here are the candidates for SBLive's Indiana High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Flory Bidunga, Kokomo boys basketball

The Kansas recruit had a pair of double-doubles in wins over Muncie Central and previously unbeaten Tipton, finishing with 40 points, 31 rebounds, eight blocks and seven assists in the two games.

Deric Cannady, Cathedral boys basketball

The junior had 19 of his 28 points in the third quarter of a 75-35 win against Heritage Christian. He was 7-for-8 from 3-point range. He also filled the stat sheet in an 82-43 victory over Christel House with seven points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists.

Lily Christianson, Penn girls swimming

The senior set three Northern Indiana Conference Meet records. She now owns 10 record times in the meet.

Micah Davis, Franklin boys basketball

The senior scored 36 points in a 58-55 overtime victory vs. Whiteland and had 26 points in an 81-67 win over New Palestine.

Josiah Dunham, Evansville Christian boys basketball

The senior scored 27 points in a 56-47 win against Southridge, passing 2,000 points for his career.

Mason Harvey, Seton Catholic boys basketball

The senior had 36 points and 23 rebounds in a 73-69 win vs. Cowan.

Evan Haywood, Brebeuf boys basketball

The Butler recruit had 34 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in wins over Indianapolis Metropolitan and Guerin Catholic.

Chris Huerta, Carroll (Flora) boys basketball

The senior broke the 45-year-old gym scoring record and set a program mark with 11 3-pointers, finishing with a career-high 46 points in a 74-60 victory vs. Faith Christian.

Jeffery Huyvaert, New Prairie boys wrestling

The sophomore set the state single-season record for takedowns at 349 and improved to 36-0 en route to winning the 144-pound title at the Northern Indiana Conference Tournament.

Carson Krueger, John Glenn boys basketball

The senior scored 39 points in three games, including the go-ahead basket in overtime of the championship game, to help the Falcons win the Bi-County Tournament title.

Devon Lewis, Fort Wayne Canterbury boys basketball

The senior had 39 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in wins against Lake Forest Academy (Ill.) and Culver Academies.

Jake McGraw, Clinton Prairie boys basketball

The junior scored a career-high 40 points with seven rebounds, five assists and four steals in a 73-61 victory vs. Fountain Central.

Sam Mlagan, Bethesda Christian boys basketball

The senior averaged 21.5 points in wins vs. Park Tudor and Waldron.

Kira Reynolds, South Bend Washington girls basketball

The junior had a triple-double of 22 points, 16 rebounds and 11 blocks in a 76-51 victory over Fort Wayne Northrop. She also had 23 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks in a 66-31 win vs. Jimtown.

Azavier Robinson, Lawrence North boys basketball

The junior scored 25 points, including a three-point play with 12 seconds left, in a 62-60 win over Indianapolis North Central.

Molly Schulte, South Spencer girls basketball

The senior averaged a triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in wins against Forest Park and Tell City.

Justin Sims, Chesterton boys basketball

The senior became the eighth player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.

Preston Sims, Northwestern boys basketball

The junior scored 32 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 66-65 overtime victory vs. Peru.

Jack Steadham, Bishop Chatard boys swimming

The senior broke the program and Circle City Conference records in the 100-yard backstroke, going 53.62, and also set the program mark in the 200 freestyle at 1:47.41.

Jarvis Tolbert, South Bend Adams boys basketball

The sophomore had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 53-48 win against South Bend Washington.

Springs Valley's Deion Edwards voted SBLive’s Indiana High School Athlete of the Week (1/22/2023)

Congratulations to Springs Valley boys basketball Deion Edwards, who was voted the SBLive Indiana Athlete of the Week for Jan. 8-14.

Edwards, a junior, broke Larry Bird's program single-game record of 55 points, scoring 56 in a 101-98 overtime victory against Austin.
