Here are the candidates for SBLive's Indiana High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Santana Allen, Cardinal Ritter football

The sophomore threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another score in a 42-14 sectional quarterfinal win over Union County.

Whitney Anderson, Valparaiso girls cross country

The freshman won the New Prairie Regional with a time of 18:51.6.

Alex Antonopolous, Indianapolis North Central boys tennis

The senior won the state singles title by defeating Columbus North's Hank Lin 6-2, 6-1. Antonopolous finished 22-0.

Aidan Arteaga, Bishop Chatard football

The senior threw for three touchdowns in a 40-7 sectional quarterfinal win over Tippecanoe Valley.

Lily Ault, Noblesville girls soccer

A junior, Ault scored two goals and added an assist in the Millers' 3-1 win over Crown Point on Saturday in the Class 3A semi-state championship. Noblesville (16-1-3) will play Bloomington South for the state title.

Liam Bauschke, Mishawaka boys cross country

The junior took first at the New Prairie Regional with a time of 15:40.7.

Reis Beard, Kokomo football

The senior had 28 carries for 166 yards in a 21-14 sectional quarterfinal win over Marion.

Dejanae Butler, Park Tudor girls soccer

Butler, a senior, had a goal and an assist in the reigning Class 1A champion Panthers' 2-1 win over Evansville Mater Dei in the Class 1A semi-state championship match on Saturday. She scored four goals and had an assist in a 5-0 win over Bethesda Christian in the regional championship a week earlier. 

Marco Castro, Kankakee Valley football

The junior ran 26 times for 183 yards and two TDs in a 37-22 sectional quarterfinal win against Gary West Side.

Taylor Clark, Brebeuf Jesuit football

In a 55-50 sectional quarterfinal win over Northview, the junior caught seven passes for 129 yards and four touchdowns.

Will Conway, Floyd Central boys cross country

The senior won the Evansville Mater Dei Regional at 15:23.9.

Samantha Christie, Leo girls soccer

Christie, a senior, made four saves and earned her third straight shutout (and 12th of the season) as the Lions defeated Mishawaka Marian 1-0 in the Class 2A semi-state championship on Saturday to secure a spot in the state championship game. 

Nick Davenport, Whiting football

The senior passed for three touchdowns and ran for another in a 40-0 sectional quarterfinal shutout of Lake Station.

Sean DeLong, Gibson Southern football

The senior ran for 97 yards in a 40-7 sectional quarterfinal win over Mount Vernon (Posey) to set the program's career record for all-purpose yards with 3,805.

Brodie Derrer, Hamilton Heights football

The senior rallied the Huskies from a 10-0 deficit for a 42-17 sectional quarterfinal win, completing 12 of 17 passes for 190 yards and four touchdowns.

Libby Dowty, Indian Creek girls cross country

The sophomore took first in the Shelbyville Regional in 17:45.8.

Maverick Geske, Brebeuf Jesuit football

In a 55-50 sectional quarterfinal victory over Northview, the junior threw for 274 yards and seven touchdowns.

Alex Graber and Eric Ji, Homestead boys tennis

Graber, a senior, and Ji, a sophomore, defeated Columbus North's Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 to win the state doubles title. Graber and Ji finished 20-2.

Vaughn Hendrickson, Fort Wayne Concordia boys cross country

The senior won the New Haven Regional in 15:44.7.

Nick Johnsen, Highland football

The senior blocked two punts and had a sack to set the tone early in a 56-6 sectional quarterfinal win against East Chicago Central.

Matt Koontz, Hanover Central football

The senior passed for 169 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-16 sectional quarterfinal win over Calumet.

Tyler Lee, Northview football

The senior ran 32 times for 277 yards and four touchdowns in a 55-50 sectional quarterfinal loss to Brebeuf Jesuit.

Eli Nix, Heritage Christian football

The sophomore finished 15-of-22 passing for 142 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-0 sectional quarterfinal shutout of Shenandoah.

Tony Provenzano, Carmel boys cross country

The senior won the Brownsburg Regional with a time of 15:12.0.

Sam Quagliaroni, Fishers boys cross country

The junior won the Shelbyville Regional at 15:17.1.

Reed Robinson, New Prairie football

The sophomore had 14 carries for 179 yards and three TDs in a 49-14 sectional quarterfinal win over Hobart.

Peter Rooney, Guerin Catholic football

In a 27-19 sectional quarterfinal victory over Peru, the senior ran 26 times for 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Jalen Sauer, Indian Creek football

The senior completed nine of 14 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns, and also ran for a touchdown in a 49-7 sectional quarterfinal win over Greensburg.

Julia Score, Bishop Chatard girls cross country

The sophomore won the Brownsburg Regional at 17:37.8.

Brayden Shrake, Martinsville football

The senior rushed 36 times for 243 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-14 sectional quarterfinal victory against Silver Creek.

Nicki Southerland, Delta cross country

The senior won the New Haven Regional with a time of 17:31.9.

Kaitlyn Stewart, Floyd Central girls cross country

The senior was first at the Evansville Mater Dei Regional in 18:28.5.

Taylor Swygart, Leo girls soccer

Swygart, a senior, scored the lone goal – her 17th of the season – as the Lions defeated Mishawaka Marian 1-0 in the Class 2A semi-state championship to clinch a berth in the state title game. 

Malachi Walden, Tri-West football

The junior threw a 91-yard touchdown pass and he finished the game with four rushing touchdowns in a 42-7 sectional quarterfinal win over Danville.
