Illinois boys individual wrestling championships updates
CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS – The Illinois boys individual wrestling championships have produced some memorable matches through the first two days at the State Farm Center and will crown its 42 champions on Saturday night.
Thursday's action included first-round matches in all three classes and quarterfinal matches for Class 1A and 2A. The 3A quarterfinal matches were held on Friday morning and semifinal matches for all three classes were Friday night.
Saturday morning's action featured quarterfinal wrestlebacks, semifinal wrestlebacks and then 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th-place matches. The championship matches, starting with the 132-pound weight class, were set to start at 6 p.m.
