Johnsburg's JT Schmitt voted SBLive’s Illinois High School Athlete of the Week (1/29/2024)
Congratulations to Johnsburg boys basketball player JT Schmitt, who was voted SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week for January 15-21.
He received more than 72 percent of the total votes cast for the week.
Schmitt, a junior, tied a program record, hitting eight 3-pointers and finishing with 24 points in a 77-33 win against Harvard.
Lemont bowler Trevor Anifer finished second in the voting after receiving more than 27 percent of the votes.
