Congratulations to Minico's Carlie (CJ) Latta for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athletes of the Week for Feb. 5-10!

Before heading off to Utah State University, Latta and her team had one big accomplishment to take care of - win back-to-back 4A Great Basin District for the first time in nearly five decades. Latta scored 18 points, and the Spartans took care of Twin Falls, 53-45. She was also voted league MVP for a second consecutive season.

Latta collected 73.7% of the overall vote.

Cutter Beus, Melba boys basketball: Set program record with 50 points in an 86-39 win over North Star Charter.

Caryss Barger, Grangeville girls basketball: Netted 28 points and six steals in a 77-25 win over Orofino.

Liam Campbell, Owyhee boys basketball: Tallied 40 points on 12-for-20 shooting with seven rebounds in a 83-63 win over Capital.

Brinley Cannon, Shelley girls basketball: Bagged 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting as the Russets finished regular season unbeaten (22-0) with 58-37 win over Blackfoot to claim consecutive district championships.

Teagan Colvin, Coeur d’Alene girls basketball: Scored 12 of her game-high 20 points in first half as Vikings blew past former No. 1 Lake City, 50-31, to win back-to-back district championships.

Bryson Crane, Bear Lake boys basketball: Posted a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds while also going over 1,000 career points in a 66-38 win over Malad.

Benny Guevara, Notus boys basketball: Racked up 43 points, eight steals and four assists in a 78-52 win over Idaho City.

Kaity Haan, Boise girls basketball: After missing nearly entire season (ankle), Haan returned with 15 points, eight rebounds and three steals to help Brave in 50-31 win over Rocky Mountain for third consecutive district championship.

Hunter May, Pocatello boys basketball: Recorded 24 points on 6-of-10 shooting from 3-point range in 75-57 win over Century.
