Sandpoint girls basketball player Aliya Strock voted WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Sandpoint guard Aliya Strock for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athletes of the Week for Dec. 4-Dec. 9!
The reigning 4A Inland Empire player of the year knows a thing or two about how to perform in big moments. She converted two free throws late in the state championship game last February to wrap up the Bulldogs' title - and earlier this momth, she tallied an efficient 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including a pair of 3-pointers, as Sandpoint tripped up Class 5A state champion Coeur d'Alene, 53-49. She currently leads the squad with a 17.3 points-per-game average.
Strock collected 50.0% of the overall vote.
