Each week, SBLive Idaho will update its all-classification top-10 high school football rankings.

Here is the Week 3 list compiled by SBLive Idaho correspondent Brandon Walton:


1. EAGLE (2-0)

Last week: Beat Kuna, 34-6.

This week: Hosts No. 4 Rocky Mountain at 7 p.m. Friday.

Mustangs continued their dominance over the Kavemen, thanks to the ground game that racked up more than 200 yards. Noah Burnham ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns alone.


2. HIGHLAND (2-0)

Last week: Beat No. 5 Skyline, 31-20.

This week: Plays Century 7 p.m. Friday at Holt Arena.

Jackson Riddle (139 yards, two TDs) led a rushing attack that piled up nearly 300 yards. QB Drew Hymas nearly reached the century mark with his legs as well.



Last week: Beat No. 4 Rocky Mountain, 24-14.

This week: Hosts Owyhee at 7 p.m. Friday.

Mavericks beat the Grizzlies in their own game with defense. They held them to less than 200 yards of total offense while forcing a pair of turnovers, including a pick 6 from Caden Connors.



Last week: Lost to No. 3 Mountain View, 24-14.

This week: Travels to No. 1 Eagle at 7 p.m. Friday.

With only three touchdowns over the past two games, the Grizzlies will look to get their offense clicking again. The 61-point total is the lowest through three games in program history.


5. SKYLINE (1-1)

Last week: Lost to to No. 2 Highland, 31-20.

This week: Hosts Thunder Ridge at 7 p.m. Friday.

Grizzlies were done in last week by failing to convert in the red zone. They were stopped four times inside Highland's 20-yard line. So Skyline will look to bounce back in "Berger Bowl."


6. MERIDIAN (0-2)

Last week: Bye.

This week: Hosts Middleton at 7 p.m. Friday.

Should be refreshed and refocused following much-needed break after dropping first two games of the season by a combined eight points. Meridian will look to avoid first 0-3 start in a decade.


7. COEUR D’ALENE (2-1)

Last week: Beat Sandpoint, 19-0.

This week: Bye.

Impressive rebound after loss to Rocky Mountain - and Vikings did it with defense. They’ve allowed only four offensive touchdowns and 12.3 points per game so far this season.


8. POCATELLO (1-0)

Last week: Game against Ridgevue canceled.

This week: Travels to Twin Falls at 7 p.m. Friday.

After the drama of having their game canceled at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances, the Thunder are just eager to get back on the field. They’ll look for a fifth consecutive win over the Bruins.



Last week: Beat Centennial, 42-17.

This week: Travels to Ridgevue at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Knights are 2-0 to begin a season for the second consecutive year. Both wins come against Class 5A opponents, outscoring them, 91-31..Now, they’ll open up 4A SIC play.


10. SUGAR-SALEM (3-0)

Last week: Beat Shelley, 42-14.

This week: Travels to Star Valley (WY) at 7 p.m. Friday.

Diggers extended state’s longest winning streak to 14 games by running over the Russets. RB Carson Harris rushes for 144 yards and four touchdowns, including three scores in first quarter.
