Congratulations to Post Falls' Tevin Burns for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athletes of the Week for Aug. 21-Aug. 26!

When the Trojans needed to put away one of their north Idaho rivals, Burns paved the way in the second half. He rushed for three touchdowns (18, 34, 4), all in a span of 6:43 in Post Falls' 41-21 victory over Sandpoint. Burns finished with a career-high 253 yards on 29 carries.

Burns collected 60.8% of the overall vote and finished ahead of Emmett tailback Isaac Brennan, who had 36.8% of the vote.

Dillon Fine, Homedale football: Went 14-for-18 for 334 yards and five touchdowns while running for another score in his debut at quarterback in a 54-7 win over Filer.

Izzy Garcia, Filer girls soccer: Scored four of the team's five goals in a 5-2 win over Declo.

Olivia May, Coeur d'Alene girls cross country: Posted the fastest 5-kilometer time in the state at 19 minutes and 16.8 seconds in her win at the Libby Invite

Justin McGee, Mountain View football: Threw for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns while running for 107 yards and the game-winning score in a 31-26 win over 2022 Class 5A finalist Meridian

Peter Minnaert, Bishop Kelly football: Totaled 235 all-purpose yards, including a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in a 49-14 win over Capital

Jaiden Rodriguez, Blackfoot football: Amassed 264 yards receiving and three touchdowns in a 33-30 loss to Emmett.

Tim Williams, Bonneville football: Rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries with an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in a 34-27 win over Preston.
