Congratulations to Skyline baseball 3B/RHP Ryan Horvath for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athlete of the Week for March 28-April 3!

The senior went 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in four runs in an 18-8 rout of Hillcrest.

Horvath received 50.35% of the vote, beating out Highland's Jenna Kearns who finished second with 24.13%Wendell's Ana Scott finished third with 13.36% and Emmett's Landon Helms finished fourth with 6.18%. There were over 10,000 votes tallied this week!

Carley Boisvert, Mountain View Softball: Boisvert recorded 11 strikeouts in a complete 3-2 win against Capital.

Erika Gustafson, Boise Softball: Gustafson tallied 11 strikeouts in the circle during a 6-1 win against Meridian.

Landon Helms, Emmett Boys Track and Field: Helms posted the best vault by an Idaho high school athlete in 21 years in his first one of the season with 17-feet, 2-inches at a quad meet against Vallivue, Bishop Kelly and Columbia at Emmett. Eagle’s Donovan Kilmartin had the previous record at 17-1. Helms’ previous best outdoor best in Idaho was 15-10.

Luke Hines, Rocky Mountain Baseball: Hines allowed just three hits and struck out three in five shutout innings for the win on the hill while driving in a pair of runs in a 6-1 victory over reigning state champion Timberline.

Collin Hysell, Payette Baseball: Hysell sat down 10 in five and two-thirds innings of work to pick up the win in a 3-2 victory against Homedale.

Cody Isakson, Moscow Baseball: Isakson racked up a triple, a home run and a pair of RBIs on one side of play while picking up the win on the bump in the other in a 3-1 victory against Pullman (WA.).

Merit Jones, Idaho Falls Baseball: The University of Utah signee gave up just one hit and threw five strikeouts in five-plus innings while hitting an RBI double in an 11-0 shutout of Rigby.

Sofia Lippiello, Century Girls Golf: Lippiello shot a 76 to take medalist honors at the Minico Invite.

SoBella Malliarodakis, Owyhee Softball: Malliarodakis notched five hits in a 10-3 win against Centennial.

Nate McDonald, Jerome Baseball: McDonald had four hits, including a double and three RBIs in an 18-9 drubbing of Canyon Ridge.

Otho Savage, Twin Falls Baseball: Savage went a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate with two doubles and a pair of RBIs in a 15-3 shellacking of Burley.

Ana Scott, Wendell Softball: Scott combined for two home runs, including a grand slam, and 7 RBIs in a split with Wood River.

Analisa Zamora, Skyview Softball: Zamore tallied two hits, including a home, and four RBIs in a 14-13 shootout win against Eagle.

Dillon Fine, Homedale Baseball: Through five 2/3 innings pitched, Fine struck out 12 batters, allowed two walks, and allowed just one hit against Payette. The sophomore also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a single and a double.

Jenna Kearns, Highland Softball: Kearns hit .750 with an on-base plus slugging percentage of 2.465 in double headers against Owyhee and Boise. In the first five games of the season, the junior already has six home runs.
