NAMPA - Aspen Caldwell scored 26 points and Lauren Davenport added 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead Thunder Ridge to a 66-55 win over Meridan on Thursday in the first round of the Idaho 5A girls basketball state tournament.
Thunder Ridge had a big advantage on the boards, pulling down 10 offensive rebounds and outrebounding Meridian 33-21.
Meridian was led by Jaleesa Lawrence who poured in 26 points and pulled down 7 rebounds.
Thunder Ridge advances to play Coeur d'Alene in Friday's 5A semifinals. Meridian will play Boise in the consolation bracket.
