No. 1 Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, Indiana) finishes regular season unbeaten, extends winning streak to 61 matches

Make it 61 and counting for the Hamilton Southeastern Royals, who are marching into the 2023 postseason unbeaten.

HSE (Fishers, Ind.) last week extended its win streak to 61 matches with a regular-season finale sweep of Franklin Central of Indianapolis. The Royals have not lost away from home in two years.

The defending Class 4A state champs and Indiana’s undisputed No. 1 team now heads to the postseason, which begins this month. Many of their players compete for club powers Munciana and Munciana Indy, two of the best clubs in the country.

The SBLive Power 25 national high school volleyball rankings include teams affiliated with state high school athletic associations in the state they compete in or those allowed to play affiliate high schools in their home state and beyond.

The Royals last week ended their regular season with a 3-0 sweep of Franklin Central of Indianapolis, extending their shutout streak to 13. Leading HSE are outside hitter Lauren Harden, a Florida commit; outside hitter Lindsey Mangelson, Mississippi State commit; setter Ava Hunter, Loyola Chicago; middle hitter Breonna Goss, Duke; Libero Sophie Ledbetter, Ball State; setter Macy Hinshaw, Santa Clara; and middle hitter Tiffany Snook, Memphis.

2. Mater Dei

(Santa Ana, California)

Last week: 2

The Monarchs last week defeated JSerra Catholic of San Juan Capistrano, 3-1. They take on (Rancho) Santa Margarita on Wednesday. Leading the way are Isabel Clark, Cymarah Gordon, Layli Ostovar, Emma Kingston, Malyssa Cawa, Tessa Hurley and Julia Kakkis.

3. Mira Costa

(Manhattan Beach, California)

The Mustangs had a big week, going 8-0, including a 6-0 record in winning their second consecutive Power Classic Tournament. Mira Costa defeated Marymount of Los Angeles, 2-0, in the final. The Mustangs’ Charlie Fuerbringer was named tournament MVP, and Audrey Flanagan and Bryn Shankle were All-Tournament selections. The Mustangs close their regular season on Thursday at Redondo (Beach) Union.

4. Grand Oaks

(Spring, Texas)

Last week: 4

The Grizzlies last week extended their win streak to 12 with 3-0 sweeps of Willis and The Woodlands. They play Oak Ridge (28-10) on Tuesday and New Caney on Friday.

Leading the Grizzlies are Halle Thompson, Jaela Auguste, Cali Reece, Audrey Terry, and Samara Coleman.

5. Papillion La Vista South

(Papillion, Nebraska)

Last week: 5

The two-time defending Class A state champ Titans last week swept Burke, 3-0, and then went 4-0 to win the Girls Varsity Skutt Catholic Invitational in La Vista. The Titans swept Marist (Chicago), Papillion La Vista High School, and St. Thomas Aquinas (Overland Park, Kan.), and beat Skutt Catholic of Omaha, 2-1, to win the championship. The Titans host Papillion-La Vista on Tuesday. Ranked No. 1 in Nebraska, the Titans are led by South Dakota commit/senior outside hitter Lauren Medeck, Lyric Judson, Kami Dyrstad, Charlee Solomon, and Morgan Bode.

6. Divine Savior Holy Angels

(Milwaukee, Wisconsin)

The defending WIAA Division 1 state champ last week went 6-0, including a 4-0 record in a Saturday tournament. DSHA hosts Menomonee Falls on Tuesday and visits Wauwatosa West on Thursday. DSHA is led by Sophia Wendlick, Maddie Brown, Olivia Durst, and Jordan Czajkowski.

7. Notre Dame Academy

(Park Hills, Kentucky)

The Pandas last week defeated Ryle of Union, 3-0. They visit Ursuline Academy of Cincinnati on Tuesday and powerful Assumption (27-5) of Louisville on Thursday to end the regular season. NDA is led by Ava Tilden, Audrey Dyas, Julia Grace, Ella Goetz, and Lauren Ott.

8. Wayzata

(Plymouth, Minnesota)

Last week: 10

The three-time defending Class 4A state champ Trojans swept St. Michael-Albertville, 3-0, and then won the STMA Midwest Fall Classic with a perfect 5-0 record to remain unbeaten. Leading the way are Olivia Swenson, Katie Kelzenburg, Bianca Nistor, Stella Swenson, and Avery Jesewitz.

9. McKinney Boyd

(McKinney, Texas)

Last week: 11

The Broncos last week stretched their win streak to 15 with 3-0 sweeps of Allen and McKinney on Friday. Leading the Broncos are Ale Romo, Sasha Purdin, Keira Bose, Kali Vanderhoof, Carson Eickenloff, and Sara Quigley.

10. Bob Jones

(Madison, Alabama)

The defending Class 7A state runner-up swept Sparkman of Harvest, Hoover, Boaz and Guntersville by 2-0 scores. Leading the Patriots are Kennedy Vaughn, Eliza Tyrrell, Meg Jarrett, Riley Lovell, and Kalison Beigh.

11. Northville

(Northville, Michigan)

The defending Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 state runner-up last week defeated Novi and Marian of Bloomfield Hills. The Mustangs take on Hartland on Tuesday. Leading the way are Molly Reck, Avry Nelson, Ashlee Gnau, and Ella Craggs.

12. Immaculate Heart Academy

The top-ranked team in New Jersey last year went 4-0 last week and then swept Paramus Catholic, 2-0, on Monday to remain undefeated. The defending NJSIAA Non-Public A girls state champ has dropped only one set all season. Leading the way are Maddie Sandt, Rachel Paton, Emily Sabino, Abby Romero, Kalena Stavish, and Alessandra Nazor.

13. Mother McAuley

The defending Class 4A state champ Mighty Macs swept Montini Catholic of Lombard and St. Francis of Wheaton by 2-0 scores. Leading the way are senior outside hitter Ellie White, a Michigan commit, Ellery Rees, Samantha Falk, Peyton Heatherly, and Olivia Urbon.

14. Prestonwood Christian Academy

The Lions last week roared past Bishop Lynch of Dallas and Cathedral Catholic (San Diego) by 3-0 scores to extend their win streak to six. PCA avenged a 2-0 loss to CCHS on Sept. 23. Last year, PCA went 40-1, winning the TAPPS Class 6A state title.

15. Dripping Springs

The Tigers last week swept Anderson and Akins of Austin by 3-0 scores. They visit powerful Cornerstone Christian on Tuesday. Leading the way for DS are Henley Anderson, Ashley Euston, Ella Kuhn, and Presley Alford.

The defending Division I Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) state champ extended its win streak to 20 before falling to unbeaten The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, Md), 2-1. Leading Flint Hill are Mickhaila Murray, Ryla Jones, Evie Huang, and Natalie Nguyen.

17. Pope

The defending Class 6A state champ Greyhounds last week defeated Mount Pisgah Christian of Johns Creek and Lovett of Atlanta by 2-0 scores. Leading Pope are Fifi Harvey, Ellis Crawford, Dayla Ortiz, and Cooper Abney.

18. Cathedral Catholic

The defending national champion Dons last week found their trip to Texas a rough one as they fell to powerhouse Prestonwood Christian, 3-0. The Dons play four matches this week. CCHS is led by senior middle blocker Jenna Hanes.

The longtime Hawaiian power last week lost to Kamehameha Kapalama, 3-1. Leading the way are Lulu Uluave, Kealoha Cox, Rella Binney, Cali-Jo Shigemasa, Reese Teves, and Haumea Marumoto.

The Rockets last week swept Holy Cross and Mercy, a pair of Louisville schools, by 3-0 scores. They visit Paul Laurence Dunbar of Lexington, and host Notre Dame Academy on Thursday. Charlotte Moriarty, Bailey Blair, Kristen Simon, Emily Keiran, and Emilee Fuller lead Assumption.

21. Dike-New Hartford

The defending Class 2A state runner-up Wolverines reeled off five more victories to remain one of the best teams in the Midwest.

The Cougars visit the Beaumont School of Cleveland Heights on Tuesday and host Gilmour Academy of Gates Mills on Thursday. They are led by Katie Sowko, Ahnna Bergant, Julia Oster, and Hannah Pattie.

23. Cornerstone Christian

The Warriors, who play an independent schedule, last week lost to Kansas power St. James Academy (Lenexa), 3-1. They play Texas powerhouse Dripping Springs (41-3) on Tuesday. Megan Fitch, Elly Stewart, Olivia Parker, Maria Avendano, and Kaia Thiele lead CCS.

24. Valor Christian

The Eagles last week won their 13^th and 14^thsweeps of the season, beating Columbine of Littleton and Lakewood by 3-0 scores. They host Bear Creek of Lakewood on Tuesday. Last year, the Eagles soared to a 29-0 record and the Class 5A state championship. Leading the way are Delaney Russell, Grace Langer, Bergen Waitman, Kaitlyn Lynch, and Chloe Elarton.

The Patriots had a big week, sweeping defending Class 3A state champ Clearwater Central Catholic and Wiregrass Ranch by 3-0 scores. Leading CDS are 6-foot-1 freshman outside hitter Lydia Chinchar, senior setter Naomi Chinchar, junior Libero Mattea Casale, and 6-2 junior middle blocker/outside hitter Sarah Dibbs-frantz.
