Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia High School Athlete of the Week for January 29-February 3, 2024 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday, February 11th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Reynolds Escher, Saint Francis Boys Basketball

Escher’s triple-double played a big role in Saint Francis’ win over Kings Ridge. He finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Tashaun Frasier, Bradwell Institute Boys Basketball

Frasier led his team with a great performance with 31 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block.

Chandler Thomas, Veterans Boys Basketball

Thomas put on a show at Senior Night. He scored 33 points in a blowout win versus Northside.

Caleb Wilson, Holy Innocents Episcopal Boys Basketball

Wilson had himself a great week, versus Miller Grove, as he nearly had an insane triple double with 19 points, 19 rebounds and nine assists, with five blocks and two steals. Versus Southwest Dekalb he balled out and scored his 1000th career point while finishing with 29 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, and four blocks.

Jordan Richerson, Fannin County Boys Basketball

Richerson went off for 37 points in a close contest versus Rockmart. He scored over half his team’s points and also had four rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Manny Green, Cedar Grove Boys Basketball

Green had an impactful double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds and rejected three shots at the rim in a 77-21 victory over Carver.

Kie’Aundria Acree, Monroe Area Girls Basketball

Acree had another crazy stat line in a win versus Dougherty. She finished with a near triple-double of 32 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and showed off her defensive prowess with five steals and two blocks.

Libby Knott, Atlanta Girls School Girls Basketball

Knott went off for 36 points, 7 rebounds, five assists, and five steals. In the same game she shot 50% from the field, 57% from three and 100% from the line.

Alyssa Staten, Statesboro Girls Basketball

Staten had a monster game in a tight win over Bradwell Institute. She finished with 23 points and 20 rebounds, with two blocked shots.

Shakiria Foster, Lamar County Girls Basketball

Foster did about everything you could do on the court in an epic game versus Heard County. She finished with 31 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

Milanni Abdus-Salaam, Sequoyah Girls Basketball

Abdus-Salaam went off for 26 points and 13 rebounds to lead her Chiefs in a win over Etowah.

Ciara Alexander, Mount Paran Christian Girls Basketball

Alexander’s near triple-double headlined the stat sheet in Mount Paran’s 76-17 win over Coretta Scott King High. Alexander finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.

Amiya Porter, Hebron Christian Girls Basketball

Porter scored a game-high 21 points in the blowout win over Monroe Area, and with that 21 points she reached 1,000 points for her career.

Marlene Mbilima Amisi, Athens Christian Girls Basketball

Amisi led the way over Rabun County with 19 points, 17 rebounds, and three assists.
