Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia High School Boys Basketball Coach of the Week of Jan. 22-Jan. 27 as nominated SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced Monday, Feb. 4th.
Here are the nominees:
Algernon Carter, Hapeville Charter: The Hornets have turned it around in 2024 and now sit above the .500 mark under Carter. Hapeville Charter has won five games in a row with the postseason looming.
John Cornett, Trion: One of the hottest teams right now is the Bulldogs, who have a 19-3 record right now. Cornett has led the club on a current 6-game winning streak.
Elliott Montgomery, Eagle’s Landing: Montgomery has done a nice job for the Eagles this 2023-2024 season, with the program racking up 15 wins so far. Last week, the Eagles went 3-0.
John Bauersfeld, Marist: After a 2-4 start to the season, Marist has really turned it around under Bauersfeld. The Eagles have won six in a row, with wins over Dunwoody, South Cobb and Westminster.
Charisse Lee, Brunswick: The Pirates have played their best basketball as of late under Lee, with the program edging closer to the .500 mark. Lee has guided the team to a current 4-game winning streak.
