ATLANTA, GEORGIA – This Georgia Class 1A-Division 1 state championship showdown between Swainsboro and Prince Avenue Christian is part of the 2023 Georgia high school football championships, which will feature nine games over three days at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

- Causby runs for another first down. The clock is stopped for an injury. As soon as play resumes the final 38-seconds will tick off and Prince Avenue Christian will capture the state championship.

- We're under two minutes. First and 10 at the Swainsboro 42.

- TURNOVER! After a short pass, the ball is knocked loose, and recovered by Prince Avenue.

- Swainsboro has it back, with 2:30 to play, at their own 48.

- TOUCHDOWN! Philo hits Dockery for a seven-yard TD pass. He breaks Trevor Lawrence's record for all-time passing yards in Georgia high school history, while tying the Georgia record for most TD passes in a season with 56.

- The Wolverines have a first down at the seven. 3:06 left.

- Philo converts with an 11-yard run to the 21.

- It's fourth and one for Prince.

- Brown loses a yard as the second quarter clock winds down. That's the end of the first half.

- The Wolverines went for it on fourth down and came up short. Swainsboro takes over on downs.

- Philo scoots down to the 11. Timeout with 45-seconds left.

- Philo to Hester for seven is followed by a run down to the 28 by Peyton Talmadge.

- On third and four, Philo finds Hester for a first down at the 35.

- Causby goes for back-to-back 12-yard runs/ The Wolverines are at the Swainsboro 45. 2:45 left in the half.

- TOUCHDOWN! Jones, on the direct snap, spins in the A gap and finds enough room to plow into the end zone for his third score. The two-point try fails. Yellow Jackets back within three with 3:37 to play in the half.

- Domello Jones makes a  great defensive play to breakup a TD pass at the goal line.

- Causby runs for nine down to the 31 and then catches a scrambling throw from Philo for a first down at the 27.
