The first round of the Georgia high school football playoffs is in the books.

Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s North Georgia high school football defensive player of the week.

Read up on this week's five candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 18th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

North Georgia Defensive Player of the Week

Jake Ferguson, Blessed Trinity: The senior finished with seven tackles, including three tackles for loss and a strip-sack, and he blocked a field goal in Blessed Trinity’s 24-10 win over Creekview.

Aidan Maddox, North Paulding: The senior tallied eight tackles, including four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, as North Paulding took down East Coweta, 22-19, in overtime.

Josh Milhollin, Fellowship Christian: The Army commit returned an interception for a touchdown and a punt for a touchdown as Fellowship defeated Redan, 42-14. He also caught two touchdowns on offense.

Chase Morrison, Roswell: The Virginia commit tallied a team-high 15 tackles, including three tackles for loss, as Roswell took down River Ridge, 51-24.

Jaden Rivera, North Cobb Christian: In addition to making five tackles, the senior returned a fumble for a touchdown and blocked an extra-point attempt as North Cobb Christian beat Fannin County, 33-27.

Kingsley Royal, Woodward Academy: The senior had four tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery for Woodward Academy in a 31-14 win over Evans.
