Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s North Georgia high school football defensive player of the week.

Read up on this week's five candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 11th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

North Georgia Defensive Player of the Week

Congratulations to last week's winner: Tyler Atkinson of Grayson


James Askew, North Cobb: The senior recorded 11 tackles, including three tackles for loss, and forced a fumble for North Cobb in a 31-7 win against Osborne.

Wesley Brown, Cedar Grove: The senior tallied 13 tackles, including three tackles for loss and two sacks, and a fumble recovery as Cedar Grove beat Carver, 24-14.

Drew Cohen, Milton: The senior made four tackles, including 2.5 sacks and three tackles for loss, as Milton downed Lambert, 37-16.

Jake Godfree, North Gwinnett: The freshman eight tackles, including two tackles for loss and one sack, and recovered a fumble in North Gwinnett’s 51-41 win against Norcross.

Daniel Turpin, Arabia Mountain: The senior racked up 15 tackles, including three tackles for loss, to help Arabia Mountain earn a 24-23 victory over Tucker.

Ashton Woods, Walton: The North Carolina commit registered eight tackles, including two sacks and two tackles for loss, as nationally-ranked Walton beat Wheeler, 42-16.
