Congratulations to last week's winner: Ellie Paley of Pope.

Here are this week's nominees:

Macey Cintron, Wesleyan

Cintron was the winning pitcher in the win over Morgan County and she also helped herself out with a two-run homer. She also was the winning pitcher versus Jackson and struck out 12 batters and went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in the game-winning run.

Emma Grace Williams, Buford

Williams was Buford’s go-to in the State Championship game against East Coweta and she didn’t disappoint. She finshsed with her 10th win on the season and her ninth complete game as she was the winning pitcher over East Coweta just like last year to win the 7A title.

Abby Lovell, Northside

Lovell pitched a gem and earned the win versus Northgate on the way to the 5A State title. She pitched a complete-game shutout, only allowing three hits and struck out 10 batters along the way. She also pitched in the title game versus Harris County and went seven innings only allowing one earned run and struck out seven.

Grace Kelley, Glascock County

Kelley was nearly perfect and almost untouchable in the circle versus Washington-Wilkes. She threw 100 pitches in seven innings and didn’t allow a single run while striking out 14 batters.

Addie Edwards, Heritage

To put it in simple terms, Edwards was unbelievable in the win over North Oconee. In a game that was needed in order to go to the State Championship game and a game that went nine innings, Edwards threw every single pitch and didn’t leave the circle. She threw a total of 111 pitches, stuck out 13 batters and didn’t allow a single earned run.

Maddie Veal, Newnan

Veal was spectacular in the circle against Grovetown. She had a one-hit shutout and finished with an insane 17 strikeouts.
