Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s South Georgia high school football defensive player of the week.

Read up on this week's five candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 4th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Nick Pace, Colquitt County: Packers senior linebacker turned in a dominant performance against Valdosta last Friday night, recording a game-high 19 tackles and forcing a fumble in a 44-28 win.

Brandon McDonald, Richmond Hill: Wildcats junior defensive back Brandon McDonald intercepted Lowndes quarterback Mavis Parrish twice in a big 37-14 win last Friday night.

Josh Lee, Early County: Senior defensive back Josh Lee recorded 10 tackles and returned a fumble 58 yards for a touchdown in a 31-29 loss to Irwin County last Friday night.

Amari Tomblin, Valdosta: Wildcats senior linebacker Amari Tomblin was everywhere on defense against Colquitt County, leading the team in tackles with 13.

Aiden Lester, Cook County: Hornets senior Aiden Lester recorded eight tackles and intercepted a pass in a huge 14-7 win over Fitzgerald last Friday night.
