Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia High School Athlete of the Week for October 23-28 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 4 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominations:

Brady Lane, Mill Creek Football

Lane had two big field goals, one from 44 and one from 30, while also being pin-point accurate on his punts and placing all three inside the 20-yard line.

Adriana Martinez, Buford Softball

Martinez was 3-for-3 in the Championship game against East Coweta. She had a two-run homer and a solo shot.

Ashton Woods, Walton Football

Woods had two tackles for a loss, two sacks, and an interception in the win over Osborne.

Madison Pickens, Buford Softball

Pickens also got in on the action in Buford’s Championship win. She was 3-for-3 with two solo home runs.

Maddison Duffel, East Coweta Softball

Duffel went 4-for-4 in the win over North Gwinnett in round one. She finished with a double and two RBIs.

Ny Carr, Colquitt County Football

Carr went for seven catches and 145 yards and two scores in a 44-28 win over Valdosta.

Madison Oliver, Brookwood Softball

Oliver went 3-for-4 in the win over North Cobb helping her team advance to the second round. Among her three hits, one of them was a home run which was needed with the final score being 2-1.

Kevin Maven, Norcross Football

Maven was a workhorse for Norcross in its win over Peachtree Ridge. He carried the ball 34 times and finished with 234 yards and two touchdowns.

Harper Carstens, Heritage Softball

Carstens blasted two huge home runs and drove in six runs in a 10-2 win over Wayne County to secure a 4A State title for Heritage.

Ava Green, Wesleyan Softball

Green was hot at the plate in the win over Morgan County. She went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and four total RBIs.

Jaiden Jenkins, Parkview Football

Jenkins was versatile in Parkview’s win over Brookwood. He finished with 86 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, 98 passing yards and a touchdown through the air.

Macey Cintron, Wesleyan Softball

Cintron was the winning pitcher in the win over Morgan County and she also helped herself out with a two-run homer. She also was the winning pitcher versus Jackson and struck out 12 batters and went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in the game-winning run.

Emma Grace Williams, Buford Softball

Grace Williams was Buford’s go-to in the championship game against East Coweta and she didn’t disappoint. She finished with her 10th win on the season and her ninth complete game as she was the winning pitcher over East Coweta just like last year to win the 7A title.

Presley Ivey, Newnan Softball

In a championship game dominated by pitching, Ivey was able to sneak in an RBI single, which was the only run scored in a 1-0 win over Pope.

Dylan Elder, Grayson Football

Elder rushed for 173 yards on 11 carries to help Grayson knock off the previous first place Archer.

Abby Lovell, Northside Softball

Lovell pitched a gem and earned the win versus Northgate on the way to the 5A State title. She pitched a complete-game shutout, only allowing three hits and struck out 10 batters along the way. She also pitched in the title game versus Harris County and went seven innings only allowing one earned run and struck out seven.

Grace Kelley, Glascock County Softball

Kelley was nearly perfect and almost untouchable in the circle versus Washington-Wilkes. She threw 100 pitches in seven innings and didn’t allow a single run while striking out 14 batters.

Gavin Hall, Gainesville Football

Gavin Hall did Gavin Hall things and rushed for 308 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries to help Gainesville take down North Forsyth and clinch Region 8.

Khristian Lando, Cartersville Football

Lando rushed for 236 yards and four touchdowns as Cartersville defeated Dalton 42-21.

Addie Edwards, Heritage Softball

To put it in simple terms, Edwards was unbelievable in the win over North Oconee. In a game that was needed in order to go to the Championship game and a game that went nine innings, Edwards threw every single pitch and didn’t leave the circle. She threw a total of 111 pitches, stuck out 13 batters and didn’t allow a single earned run.

Gianlucca Tiberia, Greater Atlanta Christian Football

G.A.C. barely got by Chattahoochee in the 41-38 win. The Spartans needed all of Tiberia’s 152 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Cam Flowers, Warner Robins Football

Flowers had seven catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Jones County.

Keenan Phillips, Bainbridge Football

Phillips returned the opening kickoff for 82 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for 125 yards throughout the game and two touchdowns.

Elijah Griffin, Savannah Christian Football

Griffin was a dominant force on defense for Savannah Chrisitan. He finished with six tackles for a loss and four sacks.

Maddie Veal, Newnan Softball

Veal was spectacular in the circle against Grovetown. She had a one-hit shutout and finished with an insane 17 strikeouts.

Cadan McGatha, Pierce County Football

McGatha couldn’t be stopped in the win over Vidalia. He was 16-for-20 passing for 278 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 112 rushing yards.

Tristan Anderson, Rockmart Football

Anderson had six receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Fannin County.
