Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia High School Athlete of the Week for October 16-21 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Saturday, October 28 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominations:
Maddie Veal, Newnan Softball
Veal was lights out in Newnan’s playoff game versus Etowah. She threw a one-hit shutout with 17 strikeouts. She also had a double and an RBI at the plate.
Jada Savage, East Coweta Softball
Savage literally did it all for East Coweta in a 10-0 Super Regional win over Parkview. She went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, home run, and four RBIs. It didn't stop there. In the circle she threw her second straight no-hitter and added 12 strikeouts.
Cameron Loyd, Walton Football
Loyd continued his tear through the season last week in the win over Cherokee. He finished with five receptions for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Ellie Paley, Pope Softball
Paley pitched a complete game in the circle only allowing one run. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate helping Pope advance to the Elite 8.
Luke Nicke, Milton Football
Nickel threw for a Milton single-game record with five touchdowns and 457 yards in the win over West Forsyth.
Maddie Johnson, North Oconee Softball
Johnson went five innings only allowing one hit and striking out 10 in a playoff game.
Neko Fann, Colquitt County Football
Fann helped keep his team on top in the shootout over Lowndes. Colquitt County finished with 654 total offensive yards and Fann threw for 344 and four touchdowns.
Macey Cintron, Wesleyan Softball
Cintron was the winning pitcher versus Franklin County. She only allowed one run and struck out 12 batters. She also had a double at the plate and three huge RBIs as Wesleyan beat Franklin County by three runs.
K.J. Bolden, Buford Football
Bolden showed why he is one of the best recruits in the entire nation. He had four touchdowns in a 66-0 win over Dacula. All four of his touchdowns came in different ways, via a rush, a reception, a pick-six, and he started off the game with a kick return.
A.J. Watkins, Norcross Football
Watkins showed how truly versatile he is on the offensive end. Versus Meadowcreek he rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only four carries. He also passed for 63 yards and two receptions.
Adriana Martinez, Buford Softball
Martinez showed out in the Super Regionals. She went 3-for-3 with two homers and five RBIs.
Justus Savage, Langston Hughes Football
Savage led the offensive charge for Langston Hughes in the win over Newnan. He rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.
Kendarious Brown, Hiram Football
Brown rushed for 134 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries in the win over Cass.
Riley Gardner, Centennial Softball
Garnder went 3-for-3 with a double, home run, and six RBIs, as Centennial routed Creekside.
Reece Fountain, Rome Football
Fountain was on fire in a blowout win over River Ridge. He completed 16-of-22 passes for 311 yards and five touchdowns.
Ellie Woodson, George Walton Academy Softball
Woodson had herself a day in a win over Stratford. She went 3-for-3 with a single, two homers, and six RBIs.
Maddie Pendley, Mount Paran Christian Softball
Pendley came up big for Mount Paran in a win over North Murray. She went 2-for-2 with a walk, double, home run and five RBIs.
Gavin Markey, Jefferson Football
Markey didn’t have to use his arm much but was pretty much perfect and efficient when he did. He went 5-for-5 for 190 yards and three touchdowns to help Jefferson take down Loganville.
Bryce Clavon, Kell Football
Clavon was spectacular in a win over Greater Atlanta Christian. Kell needed everything they got from Clavon. He finished with 268 passing yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 131 yards and a touchdown.
K.J. Spence, Cairo Football
Spence was unstoppable in a win over Westover. He finished with 288 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries.
Kimauri Farmer, Carrollton
In an offense where Lewis usually shines, Farmer was the star in the win over Westlake. In a game to decide the region winner, Farmer rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns.
