Here are six candidates for your voting consideration

Each week of the Georgia high school softball season we will nominate several candidates for our Georgia high school softball pitcher of the week honors and invite you to show your support for the candidate you believe is most deserving by voting.

Read up on our candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Sunday, October 15th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominations:

Macey Cintron, Wesleyan

Cintron had 10 strikeouts and a shutout in the circle over Pickens. She also helped herself pick up the win going 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI.

Lyla Morici, Kell

Morici went five innings and picked up the win over Walton. She struck out 10 and didn’t allow a single run while also going 2-for-3 with two doubles at the plate.

Maddie Johnson, North Oconee

Johnson had her usual dominant outing, going the distance and striking out 14 Walnut Grove batters. She also went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI.

Maddie Veal, Newnan

Veal was lights out in the circle and helped Newnan go 10-0 in region play. She threw a complete game shutout and struck out an unbelievable 19 batters.

Addie Edwards, Heritage

Edwards went 2-0 on the week with wins over Sonaraville and Central. She struck out 20 batters in the two games and didn't allow an earned run, keeping her ERA at 0.00 and increasing her record to 14-0.

Gwen Hill, Hebron Christian

In two games versus Hart County and Monroe Area, Hill played her heart out. On the mound she pitched a total of 11 innings, struck out 15 and only allowed three runs while being the winning pitcher in both match-ups. At the plate she hit a homer in both games.
