Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s South Georgia high school football defensive player of the week.

Here are this week's nomination:

Eric Brantley, Valdosta: Senior defensive end Eric Brantley came up huge for the Wildcats in their win against cross-town rival Lowndes last Friday night. He led the way with a team-high 12 tackles, including three sacks in the win.

Cayden Daniels, Crisp County: Junior defensive back Cayden Daniels was everywhere for the Cougars Saturday against Monroe. He intercepted two passes and forced two fumbles in a close loss.

Marlon Evans, Lowndes: Senior Marlon Evans had himself a big night against cross-town rival Valdosta, recording 10 tackles and intercepting a pass in a losing effort.

Cooper Thornhill, Camden County: Senior linebacker Cooper Thornhill led the way with 16 tackles in a big 35-33 win over Richmond Hill last Friday night.

Joe Douglas, Thomasville: Sophomore linebacker had a big night last Friday night against Carver-Columbus, recording a team-high 14 tackles, 10 of which were solo.
