Here are 9 candidates for your voting consideration

Each week of the Georgia high school softball season we will nominate several candidates for our Georgia high school softball hitter of the week honors and invite you to show your support for the candidate you believe is most deserving by voting.

Read up on our candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Sunday, October 1st at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.



Here are this week's nominations.

Maddie Johnson, North Oconee

Johnson was amazing at every aspect of the game in a win over North Hall. She went seven innings in the circle with eight strikeouts and no hits allowed, while going went 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple and two RBIs.

Jacy Harrelson, Houston County

Harrelson hit her ninth home run of the season and went seven innings in the circle with 12 strikeouts.

Shayla Bahr, Wesleyan

Bahr was amazing in the 10-0 win over White County. She was the winning pitcher in a one-hit shutout and went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and a three-run home run.

Caroline Stanton, Buford

Stanton had a great week with two home runs, five RBIs and two runs scored as the Wolves swept the week.

Bailey Parks, North Oconee

Parks hit her first home run of the season in a 19-2 win over Cedar Shoals. She finished with a line of 3-for-4 and two stolen bases.

Baylee Dowdy, Alexander

Dowdy went 3-for-3 with two singles and a walk-off inside the park home run to get the win over Chapel Hill.

Diamond Leslie, Centennial

Leslie had herself a powerful week, going 3-for-5 in two games with two home runs and five RBIs, leading her team to two wins.

Saige Herbst, Dacula

Herbst went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple, and five RBIs in a 17-1 win over Central Gwinnett.

Marian Collins, Mount Paran Christian

Collins put up some crazy numbers in back-to-back games. She went 5-for-6 with three home runs and 12 RBIs.
