Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia high school football coach of the week (Sept. 21-23) as nominated by our SBLive staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Saturday, September 30 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominations.

Johnny White, Douglas County: The Tigers scored their biggest win in program history in quite some time last Friday night, upsetting then nationally-ranked Langston Hughes 30-27. Having coached the Tigers since 2016, that’s without a doubt Johnny White’s biggest win.

Jay Cawthon, Eastside: The Eagles had one of the more wild Week 6 victories after beating Flowery Branch 39-32 in double overtime last Friday night. Led by head coach Jay Cawthon, the Eagles move to 1-0 in region play with the win.

Matt Burleson, Telfair County: For the first time since 2014, the Trojans are 4-0 after beating a good Bryan County team 16-7 last Friday night. The last time the Trojans started 4-0, it was head coach Matt Burleson’s third season. Now in Year 12, Burleson has his Trojans looking to make more history.

Clifford Fedd, Griffin: The Bears are officially in the win column for the first time this season after scoring a 44-27 win over West Laurens Friday night. The win also gives Clifford Fedd his first win as head coach of the Bears.

Rocky Hildalgo, Glynn Academy: The Red Terrors are off to a 4-1 start on the season after they defeated Brunswick 22-15 last Friday night. The win snapped a 3-game losing streak against Brunswick and gives head coach Rocky Hildago his first win against them since 2019.
