Here are 8 candidates for your voting consideration

Each week of the Georgia high school softball season we will nominate several candidates for our Georgia high school softball pitcher of the week honors and invite you to show your support for the candidate you believe is most deserving by voting.

Read up on our candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Sunday, September 24th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.



Here are this week's nomination.

Kendall Frost, Pope

Frost, just as she has been all season long, was dominant versus North Atlanta. She struck out 15 in a perfect game and broke Pope’s all-time wins record.

Malorie Watson, Walnut Grove

Watson was great in the circle earning the win against North Hall. She had nine strikeouts and only allowed two hits in a complete game.

Cadence Alberty, East Forsyth

Alberty recorded her 400th career strikeout in the blowout win over Chestatee, she also helped herself out with a two-run homer at the plate.

Gwen Hill, Hebron Christian Academy

Hill was lights out in her complete game shutout win over Monroe Area. She struck out 15 batters and only allowed four hits.

Maddie Veal, Newnan

Veal had the South Paulding lineup guessing at the plate. She threw her fourth complete game in five games and struck out 13 batters while only allowing one run.

Hannah Cole, Lambert

In two games last week versus Milton and West Forsyth, she pitched 14 innings and recorded 30 strikeouts while allowing only one run and earning both wins.

Maddie Johnson, North Oconee

North Oconee’s ace set a school record with 17 strikeouts to go along with a 3-for-4 day at the plate with three RBIs. She broke her previous record of 15 strikeouts in a game.

Haley Curtis, Coahulla Creek

Curtis only allowed four hits and struck out seven in a shutout win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.
