The fourth week of the Georgia high school football season is in the books.

Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s Middle Georgia Defensive Player of the Week.

Northgate junior Braxtyn Davies was voted last week's SBLive Middle Georgia Defensive Player of the Week. Davies racked up 11.5 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, in a loss to Villa Rica.

Read up on this week's seven candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Saturday, September 16th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Ryan Bell, Mt. Zion: Bell wreaked havoc in a loss to McDonough. The senior made 15 tackles, including six tackles for loss and two sacks, and he recovered one fumble.

K’vaughn Boxton, Augusta Prep: Boxton stuffed the stat sheet in a 16-14 victory against Piedmont Academy. The junior totaled 10 tackles, including four tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks, and recovered a fumble.

Kyle Green, Stockbridge: Green put up video game-like numbers in a 44-8 win over Luella. The senior finished with 12 tackles, including five tackles for loss and two sacks.

Evan Harvey, Sandy Creek: Harvey has been one of Sandy Creek’s top defensive lineman this season, and he continued that in a loss to East Coweta. The sophomore recorded five tackles, including three sacks, and caused two fumbles.

DJ Ingram, Jones County: Ingram lived in the backfield during Jones County’s 48-21 win over Peach County. The junior racked up two sacks and two tackles for loss as part of his six tackles.

Antonio Jordan, Locust Grove: Jordan had four tackles, including one tackle for loss, and he forced one fumble against Houston County.

Tony Mathis Jr., Westside Macon: Mathis has been one of the state’s leading tacklers this season, and he continued that in a win over Rutland. The senior racked up 13 tackles, including one tackle for loss, as the Seminoles improved to 4-0.
