The third week of the Georgia high school football season is in the books.

Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s North Georgia Offensive Player of the Week.


North Georgia Offensive Player of the Week

Mount Vernon running back Walker Warshaw was voted last week’s SBLive North Georgia Offensive Player of the Week. The junior finished with 266 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns (one rushing and one receiving) in a win over George Walton.

Myles Abernathy, Peachtree Ridge: Abernathy caught three touchdowns in a 40-14 win over Loganville, as the Lions improved to 3-0 this season.

Josh Adams, Bethlehem Christian: Adams helped the Knights remain undefeated with a monster game on the ground. The Navy commit ran the ball 14 times for 278 yards and five touchdowns in a 46-6 win against Heathwood Hall Episcopal (SC).

Braxton Goolsby, East Jackson: Goolsby was a constant threat in the passing game for East Jackson in a 42-7 victory over West Hall. The 5-foot-8 sophomore hauled in 10 receptions for 144 yards.

Javin Gordon, Stephens County: Gordon paced the Indians in a 32-7 win against Flowery Branch. The junior ran the ball 28 times for 187 yards and two touchdowns.

Talan Shirey, Darlington: The senior totaled more than 200 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in a shutout win over Christian Heritage. In addition to three returns for 114 yards, Shirey had three catches for 59 yards and one touchdown, plus two rushes for 30 yards and one touchdown.

Quinton Slaughter, Providence Christian: Slaughter carried the ball 23 times for 254 yards and one touchdown in a 32-10 win over Whitfield Academy.

MJ Spurlin, Jackson County: The senior running back showed up in a big way in a 32-26 victory against Central Gwinnett. Spurlin finished with 209 yards and five touchdowns on 33 rushes.

Shane Throgmartin, Mill Creek: Throgmartin helped nationally-ranked Mill Creek remain undefeated with a win over Archer. The junior went 25-for-29 with 274 passing yards and four touchdowns.
