Tyshun White, 4-star safety, commits to North Carolina over Akron, Arkansas and Boston College

Buford (Georgia) four-star safety Tyshun White made his commitment on Tuesday evening to the Tar Heels

BUFORD, GEORGIA- Buford High School has seen plenty of commitments over the last few days and the Fourth of July, another player decided on his college of choice. 

Buford (Georgia) safety Tyshun White announced Tuesday evening via Twitter that he is committing to the Tar Heels. The defensive standout is a 4-star rated prospect according to 247Sports and also had offers on the table from Akron, Arkansas and Boston College. 

The Peach State has been a hotbed for surrounding states when it comes to recruiting players and White became the latest to leave for the Tar Heel State. 

The safety played a major role on the Wolves’ defense as Buford went 11-1 in 2022. White played sparingly on offense for Buford and this upcoming season could see an increased role as he saw minimal time his junior season. In 2022, White rushed for just 26 yards and had 64 receiving.
