Recruiting: A look at the top available 2024 Georgia football prospects

A look at the top uncommitted 2024 prospects in the state of Georgia

When it comes down to pumping out the top talent on the high school gridiron, Georgia remains one of the state leaders in that department.

The Class of 2024 has seen a number of athletes making their commitments over the last few weeks as the end of June nears. Now with just over a month remaining before official practices begin, many recruits are taking aim at getting their college decisions out of the way.

There’s still plenty of talent up in the air when it comes to where they’ll be playing on the next level. We highlighted 10 players that stand out among a slew of still uncommitted players from Georgia schools and listed 20 others that remain up in the air.

Here's a look at the top uncommitted 2024 prospects in the Peach State:

5-star safety KJ Bolden (Buford) - The all-world safety remains one of the most highly coveted recruits still available, but many project him remaining in the Peach State and heading to Athens. Last season, Bolden made 43 tackles on defense.

5-star wide receiver Mike Matthews (Parkview) - It’s anyones ball game when it comes to the Parkview wideout. Matthews has many chasing his services as Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and USC remain on his trail. Matthews caught 48 passes for 1,031 yards in 2022.

5-star defensive lineman Eddrick Houston (Buford) - Though it seems like he may be headed for Columbus, the chase is still on for one of Georgia’s top defensive lineman. Houston has a slew of suitors on his trail, with Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia leading the way.

4-star tight end Caleb Odom (Carrollton) - Bordering on wide receiver-like size and ability, Odom is a matchup nightmare for any defensive back. Last season for Carrollton, Odom hauled in 63 passes for 1,121 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Trojans. It looks like it’s between Nick Saban (Alabama) and Lane Kiffin (Ole Miss) for Odom’s services.

4-star athlete Kylan Fox (Grayson) - Fox has the frame to play at wide receiver, tight end or defensive end on the next level. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound athlete hauled in 25 passes for 326 yards and notched a couple sacks for Grayson. Top schools after Fox are Florida State, Georgia Tech, Colorado, Ole Miss and UCF.

4-star safety Ricardo Jones (Northside) - The 6-foot-2, 190-pound safety remains one of the top available defensive backfield defenders of the 2024 class. Jones has Clemson, Florida State and Tennessee as the three top schools. Jones last season made 37 tackles and picked off five passes.

4-star athlete KingJoseph Edwards (Mill Creek) - Could play either at tight end or edge rusher, Edwards is a physical specimen at 6-foot-5, over 240 pounds. Last season for Mill Creek, Edwards specifically played at tight end last season and also plays basketball & track and field.

4-star cornerback Jalyn Crawford (Parkview) - The lockdown cornerback is one of Georgia’s top available at the position and Crawford has plenty of the top programs after his talents. Crawford’s top schools are Auburn, Florida, LSU and North Carolina.

4-star athlete Kamron Mikell (Statesboro) - Mikell looks to be remaining in state and heading to Athens, but schools in the mix for his services are Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee. Mikell last season for Statesboro primarily played running back and rushed for nearly 500 yards and five touchdowns.

4-star wide receiver Zion Ragins (Jones County) - Ragins projects to play at the slot position at the next level with his 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame. Playing primarily at wide receiver, Ragins caught 46 passes for 557 yards and three scores. The fleet-footed wideout top schools are Georgia, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
