Mississippi has no fewer than 13 teams unable to participate in high school football this weekend due to COVID-19.

SBLive has confirmed this list includes West Jones, Bay Springs, Mendenhall, Gulfport, Long Beach, Hancock, Okolona, Greenville St. Joe, Leland, Terry, Southeast Lauderdale, Kosciusko and Southaven.

Region games that cannot be rescheduled are forfeited by the team unable to play due to quarantine. Non-region games are considered no contest.

Some teams have been able to quickly schedule different opponents, but here’s a list of the games which won't be played this weekend:


- Hancock at St. Martin 
- Choctaw Central at Kosciusko
- West Harrison at Gulfport 
- Long Beach at East Central 
- West Jones at Brookhaven (Rescheduled for Nov. 6)
- Mendenhall at Newton County
- Hamilton at Okolona
- Northside at Leland
- Northwest Rankin at Terry
- Southaven at Hernando


- Taylorsville at Bay Springs
