Mead quarterback Ryan Blair passed for 259 yards and four touchdowns to lead Mead to a 35-19 victory over Central Valley Friday night at Spokane's Joe Albi Stadium.

Mead also received big performances fromWR Kaveh Abghari, who had 154 yards receiving and three touchdown catches, and CB Calvin Word, who returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown.

Central Valley QB Matt Gabbert threw for 285 yards and two TDs, but also threw three interceptions.

With the win, Mead (5-2, 2-1 GSL) moved into a four-way tie for first place in the 4A Greater Spokane League standings. Central Valley (5-2, 2-1), Gonzaga Prep (4-2, 2-1) and Ferris (6-1, 2-1) are deadlocked atop the standings with two games to play.
