Ferris blanked Gonzaga Prep 34-0 Thursday night in a pivotal 4A Greater Spokane League football game at Joe Albi Stadium.

Ferris quarterback Jack Clavel threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns and Nate Schlosser rushed for 83 yards and two TDs to lead the Saxons' offensive attack. Running back Brent Jones added 13 carries for 117 yards.

With the victory Ferris (6-1, 2-1 4A GSL) pulled even with Gonzaga Prep (5-1, 2-1 4A GSL) in the 4A GSL race with two games to play. The top two teams in the GSL will advance to play a Mid-Columbia Conference opponent in a Week 10 crossover game, with the winners advancing to the state playoffs.
