These guys don't always get the recognition they deserve but they are often the difference between a win and a loss. Here's a look at the Top 20 offensive and defensive linemen in San Diego Section high school football. (The list is in alphabetical order).

Noah Arce – senior – Mission Hills (6-4, 265, OT/DL)

The 3-year starter is athletic and powerful leading the Grizzlies line.

Logan Berzins – senior – Cathedral Catholic (6-4, 275, OG)

A mauler on the line, Berzins is a 3-year starter for the Dons and recently announced his commitment to Stanford.

Holden Brosnan – senior – Cathedral Catholic (6-4, 275, OT)

A physical part of the county’s best line; committed to Air Force before the season.

Chris Curtis – senior – Lincoln (6-3, 295, OT/DT)

A road grader for the Hornets who can play anywhere on the line.

Carson Feil – senior – El Capitan (6-2, 285, C)

The Vaquero’s center is excellent in pass protection and holds an offer from USD.

Baraquiel Fimbres – junior – Vincent Memorial (5-8, 220, DT)

In 32 career games, Fimbres has racked up 353 tackles, 29.5 sacks, and 16 forced fumbles for the Scots.

Jonathan Harrison – senior – Carlsbad (6-5, 295, OL/DL)

Uses his big frame to block for an explosive Carlsbad offense.

Andrew Johnson – senior – Poway (6-3, 275, OL/DL)

A 2-time Southern California Wrestling champion, Johnson anchors the Titans line to lead the rushing attack.

Chris Laie Jr. – senior – Oceanside (6-3, 215, DE)

13 sacks over the past two seasons, has picked up offers from Hawaii, Wyoming, and Idaho.

Anthony Lombardo – senior – Helix (6-2, 260, OL/DL)

An interior lineman on both sides, Lombardo sets the tone up front for the top ranked Highlanders.

Michael Malauulu – senior – Morse (6-1, 285, OL/DL)

An All-CIF selection last season, he’s the key to the Tigers heavy ground game.

Shawn Martinez – junior - Helix (6-3, 290, OL/DT)

Protects the blind side for the county’s top team and also contributes on the interior defensive line.

Charlie Mossy – senior – Bishop’s (6-4, 220, DE/OT)

Playing on both sides of the ball, Mossy led the county with 17 sacks last season and committed to Penn over the summer.

Shiloh Seau – senior – Mission Hills (5-10, 275, DL)

The Grizzlies defense starts with him controlling the line of scrimmage at nose guard.

Josh Simmons – junior – Madison (6-5, 320, OL/DL)

At 6’5, 320 Simmons is a force on both sides of the line. He’s grabbed offers from USC, UCLA, Arizona, Washington State, and Duke.

Nick Sylvester – senior – St. Augustine (6-0, 270, C)

The leader at center for a talented Saints offense.

Isaac Tinoisamoa – senior – El Camino (5-11, 290, DT/OT)

A two-way contributor for 4 seasons. Has been a run stopper after transferring to El Camino for his senior season.

Jonathan Tuitasi – senior – El Camino (5-11, 280, OL/DL)

Another two-way starter for El Camino who controls the opponents run game.

Colton Tull – senior – Hilltop (5-11, 265, G/DT)

A starter at guard for a resurgent Lancers offense.

Sebastian Valdez – senior – Monte Vista (6-3, 245, DE)

A dominant edge rusher for the Monarchs, he’s committed to Montana State.
