THREE TO SEE

Gavin Beerup QB

Beerup committed to Wyoming in the offseason. Despite his
talent under center, he played wide receiver last season and also served as the
backup to Kai Rojas. Beerup is a team player.

Nico Diaz SS

Made 75 tackles as a sophomore.

Justin Cantu RB

Rushed for 583 yards and five TDs in 2018.

OUTLOOK

Dropping to Division 5 will help St. Bonaventure come playoff time. The Marmonte League is always a grind and this season will be no different, but a fourth-place finish can still get them into the playoffs like it did last year.

Protecting QB Gavin Beerup will be the main priority. Coach Tony Henney will also hope to get a more favorable playoff matchup this season. Facing eventual state champion Grace Brethren in the first round of the playoffs last season was a bad stroke of luck.
