LAKELAND, FLORIDA – A spot in the state championship game is on the line as St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale) and Wekiva (Apopka) clash in a FHSAA Class 6A girls basketball state semifinal contest at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.

The winner advances to Saturday's Class 6A state final where they will meet the winner of Thursday's other semifinal game between Bloomingdale (Valrico) and Ponte Vedra. The FHSAA 6A Girls Basketball Championship Game will also take place at the RP Funding Center with tip-off scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

- Aquinas did not play a perfect game, but the Raiders dominated from the outset.

- Khadde Hession led the way with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Mya Johnson finished with a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double, while Kalia Harrington and Kamryn Corporan scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

- Wekiva's Tierra Coleman scored a game-high 19 points, while Senaia Asanya and Jasmine Pooler combined for 13 points for the Mustangs.

4TH QUARTER

- The clock has expired and St. Thomas is going back to the state championship game where the Raiders will seek a 4-peat.
